Social Superheros
1
Description
Our Social Superheroes program is designed for children in ages Gr.2-4 who are looking to develop stronger conversation skills and problem-solving abilities in a supportive, structured setting. The program focuses on helping children improve their ability to connect with peers, navigate social situations, and identify and solve everyday problems—whether social, emotional, or academic.
Throughout the term, children will engage in interactive activities, role-playing scenarios, and group discussions to practice essential social skills. The goal is to give children the tools they need to initiate and sustain conversations for the purpose of getting to know their peers and building healthy friendships, express their thoughts clearly, and resolve conflicts with their peers. The program also helps children develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, empowering them to identify issues in social situations and find effective solutions on their own.
Each session is designed to be engaging and hands-on, encouraging children to take an active role in practicing and refining their skills. They’ll also have the opportunity to reflect on their experiences, gaining a deeper understanding of how to apply these skills in real-life situations.

3 Routines
Each session is structured to promote conversation skills and problem-solving strategies in a fun and engaging way. Activities will be designed to build confidence, encourage collaboration, and enhance social understanding through the following:
-
Role-Playing & Social Scenarios: Children will take part in role-playing exercises where they practice initiating conversations, taking turns in dialogue, and resolving conflicts. These scenarios are designed to mimic real-life social situations, allowing children to build their confidence and rehearse appropriate responses.
-
Group Discussions & Reflection: Group discussions will focus on social challenges, problem-solving techniques, and peer interactions. Children will work together to brainstorm solutions to social dilemmas, helping them practice empathy and cooperation.
-
Problem Identification & Solving Activities: Using interactive games and activities, children will learn to identify social and everyday problems and develop practical solutions. These exercises will encourage them to think critically about situations, work through challenges, and gain a deeper understanding of problem-solving processes.
By the end of the term, children will feel more equipped to handle social challenges with peers, approach new conversations with confidence, and solve everyday problems on their own or within a group. They’ll leave with a greater understanding of how to navigate social settings, resolve conflicts, and form meaningful connections with their classmates.
