Description
Welcome to Baby Steps, a nurturing group designed to help young children build
confidence, independence, and social play skills! In a structured yet playful,
preschool-like routine, children will engage in circle time, gross motor activities,
station games, craft projects, and enjoy free play and snack time. At Baby Steps,
we facilitate and encourage connecting play, creating a warm space where children
can enhance their social skills and develop a love for independent interactions.

-
Have limited interests and need support participating in peer play
-
Need help sharing and waiting for a turn with the peer play
-
Benefit from a mix of structured and unstructured playtime to enhance social skills
3 Routines
Our sessions are thoughtfully designed to help children become more comfortable
and confident in group settings while reinforcing existing skills and encouraging new
ones. Activities may include:
-
Circle Time: Opening circle to say hello and check the calendar, learning about the day.
-
Gross Motor Activities: Fun physical games that encourage movement along activities, coordination, and teamwork.
-
Craft Activities: Creative projects that allow children to express themselves while practicing fine motor skills and following directions.
-
Station Games: Interactive small-group games to foster collaboration, turn-taking, and communication with peers.
-
Unstructured Playtime: Opportunities for free play and snack time, allowing children to explore, socialize, and practice self-regulation in a relaxed setting.
